Inspired by the winemaking tradition of piquette, Vague Recollection is a farmhouse ale aged on the grape pomace from the 2021 harvest. Jester King worked with Blanc du Bois, Syrah, Merlot, and Black Spanish grapes. After pressing the skins, they racked young farmhouse ale onto the pomace. After a few months of aging, they racked the beer off of the pomace and naturally conditioned the beer. The result is an elegant, complex, nuanced flavour profile that captures elements from both beer and wine; drinkable and delicious.
