Duo Rum is an exquisite marriage of Caribbean and Scottish rum, infused with the finest spices from across the globe to create an authentic taste of the tropics.Our rum is crafted by the distillers of BrewDog Distilling Company in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Our Scottish rum is then blended with a portion of authentic Caribbean rum to create the unique Duo Spiced; a rum bursting with flavour and character.
Made in the heart of Scotland
Duo Rum is the unique expression of the fusion of two nations’ rums and their distilling expertise. Our home nation of Scotland has six centuries of spirit-distilling heritage. While famed for world-class whisky, this knowledge and deep-rooted tradition of craft has given us the tools to make exceptional rum. The only missing ingredient: scorching sun. That’s why we chose to blend the rum we make in Ellon, Aberdeenshire with authentic Caribbean rum which is made using traditional methods and rich molasses, baked by the tropical sun.
What spices do we use in Duo Rum?
Duo Rum benefits from the additions of ginger, allspice, pineapple, guava and lime. The result is a sweet and smooth rum bursting with zesty orange, zingy lime, sweet vanilla, fiery ginger and spicy cola. The result is the perfect spiced rum to elevate your favourite mixer or to put a unique twist on your favourite cocktail. Whether you prefer classic serves or tiki cocktails, the flavours of Duo Rum can be tuned in to amplify or complement your preferred serve.
Duo rum makes the perfect drink
Our recommendation for a simple serve using our Duo Spiced Rum is a classic pairing with ginger beer. Simply pour 50ml of Duo Spiced Rum into your chosen glass over cubed ice and top with ginger beer. Garnish with a wedge of fresh lime. To elevate this serve further, add 3 dashes of Angostura bitters, squeeze two fresh lime wedges and add their juice and garnish with a slice of orange. We call it the Duo Rum “Mildly Stormy”
