James Watt stepped down as CEO of BrewDog in May 2024.

BrewDog's assets were acquired by Tilray Brands UK Ltd on 2 March 2026 out of administration proceedings.

James Watt has no role in, connection with, or affiliation to BrewDog. BrewDog and Second Best Beer are entirely separate and independent businesses. There is no commercial, operational, financial, strategic, promotional, or management relationship between them, and no customer, employee, supplier, marketing, commercial, or other business information is shared between the two organisations.

Neither BrewDog nor Tilray Brands UK Ltd endorses, sponsors, or has any association with James Watt, Second Best Beer, or any other business venture associated with him. Any statements, products, services, or activities connected with James Watt or Second Best Beer are entirely independent of BrewDog.
