Here’s a little timeline showing you how Punk IPA went from an idea in the heads of BrewDog co-founders James and Martin… to Europe’s favourite craft beer.
2008: Our Big Break
We win 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th in Tesco's homebrewing competition (they’ve always had good taste)… and Punk hits shelves nationwide
2010: Grand Openings
BrewDog bars are born. Aberdeen is closely followed by bars in Edinburgh and Glasgow, before we set sail for the South.
2016: Punk At No.1
Punk officially becomes the UK’s best-selling craft beer. Well done Britain!
2016: Punk Goes Stateside
We become the first UK craft brewer to open a brewery in America. We set up shop in our new home, Columbus, Ohio.
2019: Even More Punk
We welcome new members to the Punk family. Punk AF is our 0.5% alcohol-free IPA. Double Punk is our 8.2% older sibling – a massive west coast IPA packed with bitterness!
2022: Punk Goes GF
Another new member of the family. Punk IPA is available as Gluten-Free after 15 years, proving that great beer really is for everyone. We also launch Easy Punk, a lower alcohol brew with only 95 calories.
